Armed and dangerous suspect on the loose in North Fort Smith. PLEASE SHARE THIS INFO

Police are looking for a man who is a person of interest in an overnight shooting in Fort Smith near Kay Rodgers Park. 25 year old Jeremy Palmer is considered to be armed and dangerous.  The shooting happened at about 1 a.m. this morning in the parking lost of the West Apartments on North 50th Street.                                                                                 

According to police, the victim was identified as 35 year old Jason Thomas. Thomas was shot in the face while he was sitting in vehicle in the parking lot.  Investigators believe the suspects took off on foot following the shooting. Officers said Thomas’ wife was also sitting in the vehicle when the shooting occurred, but was uninjured. Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

According to Sergeant Daniel Grubbs, police are searching for Jeremy Palmer, 25. Palmer is a person of interest and is considered to be armed and dangerous. Palmer is pictured below.


At this time, Fort Smith Police are conducting a search through the area for Palmer.

Police are also searching for two men that were reportedly accompanying Palmer during the shooting, according to Sgt. Grubbs.
