Oklahoma woman makes up clown attack story

Last year, I posted a story about a woman in Oklahoma telling police that two clowns attacked her and dragged her out of her car. Well...her story has changed.

The woman, who formerly lived in Claremore, entered a plea of no contest for making up a police report that she had been attacked by the clowns.

Ami Pierce, also known as Ami Jones, 38, from Berry, Alabama, entered the plea on Friday to false reporting of crime in Mayes County District Court.

She was sentenced to 90 days in the Mayes County jail, but the sentence was suspended, according to court officials.

Pierce confessed to writing “clown posse” on her forehead, banging her head on the steering wheel and hitting herself, according to Mayes County Sheriff Mike Reed. She reported to the sheriff’s office on Oct. 15, 2016, she had been attacked by two clowns, who jumped in front of her vehicle, waving her hands and screaming.

Pierce also falsely reported the clowns opened her door and dragged her from her car, punched her in the face, choked her, put a lit cigarette out on her face and used a black Sharpie to write the words “clown posse” on her face, officials said.
