Two Barges strike Webbers Falls Locke and Dam on Arkansas River in Oklahoma

OHP told 40/29 News they do not know if damage was done to the dam, but the water has slowed enough they believe there may be blockage underwater.

OHP said they do not know if the dam will hold or not. If the dam is breached, the water would rush toward the Fort Smith and Van Buren area.

The barges were reportedly carrying 3,800 pounds of fertilizer when they struck the dam.
