Jake Flint's Rep Calls Out A Rumor About The SInger's Unexpected Death

Jake Flint’s manager is speaking out in response to rumors about the Oklahoma artist’s unexpected death, hours after his wedding. He was 37.

Clif Doyal, a representative for Flint and his family, said in a statement on Thursday (December 1), per E News: “I can verify from them [Flint’s family], and from my own personal knowledge, that Jake Flint's sudden and tragic death was not related in any way to the COVID-19 vaccine. Pending an official autopsy report there will be no further comment.”

The entertainment news hub also noted that Politifact, a fact-checking site by The Poynter Institute, linked the start of the rumor to an Instagram post on November 29, alleging that Flint’s death was connected to his COVID-19 vaccine. Politifact states that “this post was flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed.”

Flint’s funeral services are set for Monday (December 5) at 10 a.m. His family is requesting donations to the Red Dirt Relief Fund inlet of flowers. A GoFundMe page that was created to raise money for Flint’s wife and family has surprised its $10,000 goal as of publication time on Thursday.

“Our hearts are broken over this tragic loss,” Flint’s family previously said in a statement. “Jacob was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and partner to his wife, Brenda. He valued his family, friendships, and living life to the fullest, which was evident in his songwriting. Every person who knew him has a story of his wit, charm, talent, and compassion. We are so grateful for the outpouring of support and the many beautiful tributes that have been shared about the impact Jacob had on many lives. While we grieve what we know could have been, we're grateful that his talent and love live on in his songs.”
