LSU players threatened with arrest for lighting up after Championship win

The LSU football team may have lit up the field Monday while headed to their big win for the NCAA National Championship, but it was the players literally lighting up in the locker room that almost landed some of them in jail.

Most players on the team are too young to drink so champagne wasn't an option for celebration so after the big win, some players on the LSU football team smoked cigars in the locker room to celebrate. Police stepped in and told them to put out their cigars because it’s against the law to smoke in public spaces. The officers went so far as to threaten to arrest any of the players who didn’t obey the order.
