Mitchell Tenpenny Talks New Album, Songs That Represent Him Most

Mitchell Tenpenny's first album Telling All My Secrets hit stores today. The album comes just after Tenpenny's single off the album "Drunk Me" went #1 on country radio. He stopped by The Bobby Bones Show to talk about what his fans can expect of the highly anticipated new record.

When writing the songs, Tenpenny along with other songwriters wrote over 60 songs that were considered for the album. The last song that was added though was an important emotionally connected song for Tenpenny. It's called "Walk Like Him" and it was a song he wrote specifically for his father. The song that most represents Tenpenny on the album is "Truck I Drove In High School." Another song that was inspired by his father as he drove his dad's F150 during his teenage years then followed by another truck called "Squeaky."

Tenpenny started singing when he was 12-years-old and although he started with a passion for punk rock, he is making his mark on the country music scene now. See a performance of Tenpenny's title track "Telling All My Secrets" on The Bobby Bones Show Instagram TV page here.
