A spokesman for David Letterman has confirmed that his mother has died. 95 year old Dorothy Mengering often appeared on Letterman's show and was always just called Dave's mom.  Mengering was a charming, diminutive, white-haired every mom who helped with her son’s top 10 lists, served as an Olympic correspondent, and filed segments from the kitchen of her Indiana home.
