Luke Grimes shared a rare update on his life with Baby No. 1.
The actor and musician, who turns 42 later this month, said his 16-month-old son is “not great at sleeping, but he’s great at everything else. He’s the best. He just doesn’t sleep very well.” Grimes offered the update on his family life while catching up with Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner on the red carpet at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards on Sunday evening (January 11).
“I’m learning so much right now about the world, and about myself, and about him and about babies. There’s a lot to learn,” Grimes told Turner about his experience with parenthood. He added that his son is “just a goofball, you know? And I don’t know where he gets some of the stuff he comes up with. I’m not sure where he’s seen it. Maybe me, because I’m also a goofball. “
The Yellowstone and Marshals (formerly titled Y: Marshals) star and wife Bianca Rodrigues Grimes welcomed their first child around October 2024. Rodrigues Grimes announced her son’s arrival on October 9, 2024, captioning an Instagram post, “welcome to the world little man.” However, neither parent announced his exact birth date or publicly shared his name. Grimes later said “2024 was the greatest year of my life,” and his “proof” was a photo of his family of three. Rodrigues Grimes shared a snapshot of the family, surrounded by birthday decorations, on September 14, 2025. She hailed it the “greatest year of my life.”
